East Bridgford Hill - Wedding and Civil Ceremonies. One thing that is lovely about this beautiful old house is the care that went into building it. It took Reverend Beaumont over 20 years to build it in 1760 and the design of the ground floor and the spectacular views across the Trent Valley are wonderful. The Reverend new that it was a place of peace and beauty. Having a celebration in such a wonderful building makes sense. I think the Reverend enjoyed people because the house is perfect for guests to wonder aimlessly through the rooms while relaxing and talking to new or old friends. In the summer and autumn seasons the sunsets on the horizon and the sky comes alive...if we are lucky we get to enjoy the fireworks when they celebrate in Gunthrope - village across the river...In the winter and spring the due glistens across the fields and the low mist skims the roof tops resting in the valley. Reverend Beaumont a wealthy land owner at the time had obviously really taken his time to think where was the best place to build his little peice of heaven.
