We are a family run business offering a personal & flexible approach to wedding & event catering. Our food is home made from scratch and revolves around tried and tested family recipes
What got you started in catering ?
14 years ago we planned a menu for a family party and then made all the food….we loved doing it and the family loved eating it!
What is that you love about food?
Food taps into everybody’s emotions, memories & family history, it’s personal.
What is your favourite part of entertaining and why? eg... private parties weddings etc.
We love the challenge of generating the ultimate compliment from our clients on the big day. Catering is a team game and the team thrive at a lively event.
What is you favourite part of a wedding?
We love that moment at the end of the first dance when everyone hits the dance floor! We can often be found bopping out the back at that point.
Catering at East Bridgford Hill what makes this such a different venue for you?
Honestly? East Bridgford Hill offer up their home & themselves to each and every client in an incredibly personal way. We fit very easily into that kind of environment and are able to give our very best.
How do you see catering trends changing in the future?
Clients have relaxed their ideas about wedding food. The emphasis now is on high quality but informal food. Locally sourced is generally expected nowadays but for us we see the future of catering about making menus & recipes personal to our clients, using their own food history and family food memories to create a truly bespoke & honest menu.
Do you agree with green policies like organic etc and what would you like to see change?
Absolutely, we have always offered organic & free range for both green & quality reasons. We have recently discussed packaging and waste management as something to focus on as we feel that we generate too much waste and question the recycling process of our current provider….maybe a field trip is in order!?
How important are the staff to you and how do you like them to behave at events?
We are a team and we act like one. Being professional is standard but our staff are trained to go over and above, to spot the gaps &
actively look for opportunities to make a real difference to the
experience of everyone we work with and for.
Finally a more persona question - why do you love what you do?
Because we know what we’re doing & it makes us feel good about ourselves. Knowing that you have the experience & control to make a success of a very important occasion is a great feeling.
